LEMONATOR - "Maison Rilax"

Beautiful melodies floating in and out of moody, powerful & spacious arrangements result to music that will soothe your soul and touch your heart. Guitars so wonderful that they make you want to sell your Marshall stacks and begin a life as a gardener. Yet, you’d feel the urge to kick down fences ‘cause Lemonator’s music makes your blood run.

These hard working musicians have also gained reputation as producers and songwriters for other artists, but their commitment to the band is unique which makes them tight unit as a group. Latest result of this commitment is Lemotronix, their own electronica band that plays Kraftverk influenced versions of Lemonator songs.

Lemonator's first album "Yellow" was released in February 1997, after which the band toured virtually non-stop and played all around Finland. "Yellow" received a lot of air time, the biggest hits being "Superb", "You Could Be A Monster", "Over Now" and "Playing With Dinosaur". The album was produced by the Laika & The Cosmonauts brothers Janne Haavisto & Tom Nyman.

Their critically acclaimed second album "Maison Rilax" was released on the 19th of October 1998. It’s filled with rich arrangements and superb songs, each one more spectacular and catchier than the next, "Headlights" and "Not Your Game " (also available as a video) being the most played songs in the radio. The album was produced by the band together with Antti Lehtinen, who is also responsible for the string and horn arrangements.

Now the band is happily in the studio recording their 3rd album. The sound could be described as experimental-commercial-moody-pop-rock. A lot of new sounds are being introduced to the Lemonator world.

Lemonator’s sound has been compared to David Bowie, Big Star, The Posies, Foo Fighters and Smashing Pumpkins amongst others, but they’ve created their own special style where they serve only one god - The Song.
