After higher organist degree from Stockholm he studied trombone with Palmer Traulsen , Denis Wick and Jay Friedman. Became first trombone with The Norwegian Opera and then with Gothenburg Symph. Orch.Since l995 co-principal. He is professor of trombone at the Norwegian State Academy of Music and also teaches at the Gothenburg University and has ca. 60 former students making a living as professional players after winning auditions. Ingemar Roos has served on the ITA workshops 1982, 1994, 1995. In 2002 ITF he recieved Neill Humfelds award for excellence in trombone teaching. In International trombone competitions he has been member of the jury in Grenchen Porcia, Toulon and Markneukirchen. |
