Sven-Erik Eriksson

Sven-Erik Eriksson has been the solo trombonist in Royal
Opera House Orchestra in Stockholm 1969-1994, in Stockholm Sinfonietta
1976-1980 and in Jeunesses Musicales (1969). He has also been active
soloist and has performed as a soloist in Sweden, Switzerland and
Denmark. He has also been a member of Drottningholms Baroque Ensemble
and Swedish Brass Quintet since 1982.
Since 1976 he has been a teacher in Royal Music Academy in Stockholm. He has been the professor of trombone and head of brass instrument department since 1996. He is a well-known teacher at brass music conferences in Sweden and abroad. He has been a visiting teacher in Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, Switzerland, Germany and Denmark. He has many well-known students and his best-known student is Christian Lindberg. |
