Håkan Björkman

Håkan Björkman is principal trombone in the Royal Swedissh Opera Orchestra as well as in the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. Håkan studied for Sven-Erik Eriksson at the royal college of music in Stockholm, where he also got his solodiploma performing Serocki´s concerto with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Stockholm. He performs regulary as a soloist, for instance with Östgöta symphonic wind orchestra, The Marine Band, Sundsvall Chamber Orchestra and Stockholm symphonic wind orchestra with wich he has has made a solo CD. Håkan has recieved several scholarships from the royal music academy and he has studied for Joe Alessi, Mark Lawrence, Frank Crisafulli, Vincent Chikowitz among many other. Håkan teaches at the royal college of music in Stockholm and Dalarö folkhögskola. He is often engaged in different chamber music projects and in jurys as well. Håkan has played solo in the swedish classical radio channel.
