Ole-Kristian Andersen

Ole-Kristian Andersen was born 1966 in Oslo, Norway. His first musical experience was playing the euphonium in his school band at the age of 8. After a while he started playing the trombone, which took him to Music College and later to the Norwegian State Academy of Music, Oslo. After 4 years of modern trombone studies under Prof. Ingemar Roos and the obtaining of a lower diploma, he worked for a year in the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra before beginning postgraduate studies in baroque trombone at the Royal Conservatory, The Hague under Charles Toet. There he earned his higher diploma cum laude in 1995.
Ole-Kristian Andersen joined Concerto Palatino in 1993, and has toured with them in both Europe and the US extensively, as well as recorded numerous recordings. In addition to Concerto Palatino, he has collaborated with early music ensembles such as Concerto Vocale, Weser Renaissance, Orchestre de Champs Elysé, and the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra. Ole-Kristian has given master classes and courses in Norway, Sweden, Germany and Finland, and is co-principal trombone in the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, Sweden since 1999. |
