Rovaniemi - the capital of Lapland is a fascinating mixture of culture, internationality, trade, exercise and nature. See the most important sights of the city, like Pöykkölä traditional housing area, Rovaniemi church and Ounasvaara hill. You can also see the architecture of famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. The tour continues to the Arctic Circle, where you meet Santa Claus and you have a chance to do some early or late Christmas shopping. Lunch is served in a cosy restaurant next to Santa´s office. In the afternoon awaits a refreshing trip with a traditional riverboat, following along the River Kemijoki. You will get proper clothing - a safari suit and rubber boots, rain cape and life vest for the boat ride. You pay a visit to a local reindeerfarm, where the secrets of rearing reindeer will be shown to you in practice. You will also participate in the ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle.
